PRACTICA INGLES CON ONE TO ONE PERU
SOME 2010 ANIMATED MOVIE REVIEWS / ALGUNAS CRITICAS SOBRE PELICULAS ANIMADAS DEL 2010

YOGI BEAR 2010 MOVIE REVIEW / CRITICA SOBRE LA PELICULA "YOGI" PRODUCIDA POR WARNER BROS. PICTURES
The movie starts off exactly how you'd expect it to; Yogi attempting to steal pic-a-nic baskets and Ranger Smith scolding him. But a threat presents itself in the mayor wanting to start logging Jellystone to turn a profit on a bankrupt town and also give him a running start for his campaign as governor. With a little pep talk from Boo Boo, Yogi reunites with Ranger Smith to try and save Jellystone before it's leveled and gone forever before it can celebrate its 100th birthday.

I probably shouldn't have expected much from the story since it's based on a cartoon that initially only lasted 7 minutes or so in its prime, but it still seems weak in its animated execution. As if drudging through the story that is incredibly unlikely to happen with their ridiculous inventions, scatterbrained ideas, and irritating dance routines will make you want to jump off a cliff and hopefully land on something jagged to bring you the sweet satisfaction and quieting comfort of serenity away from a horrid film. The dialogue isn't much better either: "Faster than the speed of sandwich" Ugh, seriously? It makes you want to kick a bear square in the nuts just to get some sort of retribution. The voice cast for Yogi and Boo Boo is a bit out of left field. Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake sound off at times, especially Timberlake......Yogi Bear still suffers from being highly predictable, incredibly corny, and downright simple. The movie is practically anything but funny and charming while the cast comes off as awkward and overbearing, and it's been a collosal expensive creation of Warner Bros. Pictures.

MEGAMIND 2010 MOVIE REVIEW / CRITICA SOBRE LA PELICULA "MEGAMIND" PRODUCIDA POR DREAMWORKS
If it's one thing I've learned the past few weeks, it's that Dreamworks isn't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. While Dreamworks films don't pack the emotional punch that nearly every Pixar film does, Dreamworks animated features tend to still be overflowing with fluid and colorful animation, solid casts, and more comedy in each film than Pixar seems to have. The old school soundtrack was strangely fitting. You probably wouldn't think of AC/DC, Guns 'N Roses, Michael Jackson, and Ozzy Osborne being on the soundtrack to an animated film like this, but they are. Michael Jackson's "Bad" really suits Megamind's personality like a glove and the same can be said for AC/DC's "Back in Black."

The film is also a bit more clever than expected. The entire story is basically centered on the what-if situation of your favorite superhero being defeated by their most famous arch rival. The way it all unfolds isn't quite as predictable as expected. It also includes references to things like Donkey Kong, which always gets positive marks from me. Megamind is an animated film that is actually better with lowered expectations. The film is a bit smarter than it lets on, includes a cast that fits its roles to near perfection, and has animation that is both easy on the eyes and a joy to watch. Megamind is pretty much exactly what you look for in an animated film; it's entertaining to anyone of any age.

SHREK FOREVER 2010 MOVIE REVIEW / CRITICA SOBRE LA PELICULA "SHREK FOREVER" PRODUCIDA POR DREAMWORKS & FRANQUISIA: Mike Mitchell
The original Shrek animated film really seemed to offer a lot of promise for a potential franchise. It was a kids movie that was funny for both kids and adults, was way more clever than expected, and even had mild cursing that was both humorous and relevant. It was an animated film with a solid story that was entertaining for all ages and had that secret ingredient of heart to bring it all together. Unfortunately, the franchise seemed to slide further and further downhill from there.

The subtle humor used in the Shrek films has always been the high point for me, but the sequels seemed to use that humor less and less as the franchise went on. Shrek Forever After does have glimpses of hilarity and solidarity, but mostly comes off as halfhearted. The sequels could never really put together the same formula that made the first film so entertaining. Although mildly cute, slightly entertaining, and rather profitable, Shrek Forever After will more than likely help you understand why the franchise ended rather than reminisce about Shrek's previous adventures.....READ MORE CLICKING IN THE FOLLOWING LINK: www.onetooneperu.org - We always value your comments, specially from professional artists and animators, so pls do so here / Valoramos tus comentarios, especialmente de profesionales, por favor aqui!!
